And today — the first Wednesday of May — is World Maternal Mental Health DaySince 2016 a multidisciplinary group of international maternal mental health activists, academics, clinicians and people with lived experience have been coming together once a year to raise awareness of this ever topic to demand maternal mental health services for all.

This is a great time to highlight the work of organizations from around the world who are leading efforts to raise awareness about maternal mental health.  Some things you can do

During the month of May, Postpartum Support International (PSI) is launching a number of campaigns and events to raise awareness:

 

You can tell your story to help raise awareness of maternal mental health issues so that more women will get treatment and fewer will suffer on the PSI blog.  Listen to the I Am One podcast to hear more about the experiences of women with perinatal mood and anxiety diosrder.
