Staff Psychiatrist
Nkechi Conteh is a Staff Psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Center for Women’s Mental Health, and an Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. She is a graduate of the Duke Psychiatry Residency Program and has a masters’ degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Her principal interests include women’s mental health, health disparities and global psychiatry. She is particularly interested in the integration of psychiatry into primary care services and increasing mental health awareness in public organizations. In addition to providing care as a member of the MGH Center for Women’s Mental Health, her other responsibilities include coordinating a collaborative care psychiatry clinic for pregnant/postpartum women at MGH Revere Health Center and provision of care to women with substance use disorders in the MGH HOPE clinic
Recent honors include the 2018 Association of Women Psychiatrists’ International Fellowship, the American Psychiatric Association Research Colloquium for Junior Investigators in 2019, the Group of Advancement of Psychiatry Fellowship in 2019, and American College of Psychiatry Laughlin Fellowship in 2019.
