Participant experiences demonstrated that much of the diagnostic and treatment processes were burdened on the patient, and that successful navigation within the healthcare system was dependent on high levels of self-advocacy.

Sleep and its association with depressive and anxiety symptoms during the last weeks of pregnancy: A population-based study.

Participants with vespertine chronotype or shorter sleep duration were more likely to have depressive symptoms. Those who took more time to fall asleep or get out of bed were more likely to have both anxiety and depressive symptoms, but the association was stronger for depressive symptoms.

 

Prenatal depressive symptoms are associated with altered structural brain networks in infants and moderated by infant sleep.

Prenatal depressive symptoms appear to impact early topological development in brain networks important for emotion regulation. In the limbic network, sleep duration moderated this relationship, suggesting sleep may play a role in infant brain network development.

Antidepressants sertraline, escitalopram and citalopram were not associated with increased infant waking or time awake. However, sertraline was associated with longer time for an infant to go to sleep.

A total of 28 studies evaluating 13 instruments in 10,570 patients were included. Five instruments receiving a class A recommendation (recommended for use). Postpartum Specific Anxiety Scale, Postpartum Specific Anxiety Scale Research Short Form, Postpartum Specific Anxiety Scale Research Short Form Covid, Postpartum Specific Anxiety Scale- Persian and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory demonstrated adequate content validity and sufficient internal consistency.

 

A 5 years’ experience of a parent-baby day unit: impact on baby’s development.

Parent-baby day unit lead to positive outcomes in clinical situations with anxio-depressive parents, relational withdrawal of the babies, functional problems of the babies but not when a significant impact on the development of the baby already exists.

Association of severe maternal morbidity with bonding impairment and self-harm ideation: A multicenter prospective cohort study.

Women with severe obstetric complications reported more problems with bonding, which was partially mediated by NICU admission. Psychotherapy to support parent-infant relationships is necessary for women with SMM.

Lifetime traumatic experiences were associated with multiple prenatal maternal health outcomes, including depression, anxiety, emotion dysregulation, and pregnancy complications. Pregnant women’s experiences with childhood trauma, but not adulthood or prenatal trauma, predicted higher neurobehavioral attention scores among female newborns.
