Phoebe Caplin graduated from Duke University with distinction in 2019 with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Education and French. At Duke, Phoebe worked as an undergraduate researcher at the C.H.I.L.D. Labs under doctors Rita Svetlova and Michael Tomasello. During her time at the Empathy Development C.H.I.L.D. lab, Phoebe produced an original honors thesis and research study on young children’s prosocial behavior in the context of self-regulation. As an undergraduate, Phoebe was also a member of the Duke varsity fencing team. At the Center for Women’s Mental Health, Phoebe recruits participants and conducts interviews for the National Pregnancy Registry for Psychiatric Medications. In the future, Phoebe hopes to pursue a doctorate degree in clinical and counselling psychology.
