Margaret Gaw graduated from Duke University in 2022 with a B.A. in English and minor in Chemistry. She earned High Distinction for her thesis focused on women’s medical narratives surrounding breast cancer and childbirth. During her time at Duke, she was also involved in the Baldwin Scholars program, the Episcopal Center, and club basketball. She volunteered as a doula at UNC Women’s Hospital and conducted research on reproductive health in Durham County. At MGH, she works on the Postpartum Psychosis Project and treatment of postpartum depression, and she plans to apply to medical school next cycle. Originally from Nashville, TN, Margaret loves tennis, reading, playing piano, and exploring the best hiking spots in the area.
