Magdalena Collum, BS

Magdalena Collum graduated from Princeton University in 2018 with a degree in Comparative Literature and minors in Violin Performance and Medieval Studies. While at Princeton, Magdalena also took pre-medical coursework and did summer research in Wake Forest School of Medicine’s Trauma Surgery department. Magdalena is an enthusiastic violinist and played with the Princeton University Orchestra during college, as well as being active in leadership and service with Princeton Faith and Action and the Aquinas Catholic campus ministry. Her thesis on conceptions of harmony in the thought and music of St. Hildegard of Bingen won the top Comparative Literature thesis prize at Princeton. At MGH she works on projects studying postpartum psychosis and postpartum depression, as well as a clinical trial for a drug to treat post-menopausal vasomotor symptoms.
