Eileen Nolan graduated summa cum laude from Boston University in 2019 with a B.A. in Biology and a B.S. in Health Science. As part of the Kilachand Honors College, Eileen produced a senior thesis project examining the portrayal of characters with schizophrenia on medical drama television series. She also worked as a summer research assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute under Dr. George Makhatadze studying the folding and binding properties of amyloid proteins associated with neurodegenerative disease. During her undergraduate career, Eileen worked on campus as an emergency medical technician and first aid instructor and served on the executive board of Step About Boston, BU’s Irish dance group. She loves to stay active and travel in her free time, and has participated in academic programs in Ireland and Lebanon focused on public health. After her time at MGH, Eileen plans to attend medical school.
